Poet Deborah has bared her poetic soul by independently releasing Spoken Word CDs - Spoken Soul: A Survival Kit of Poetry, and Deborah Magdalena LIVE featuring soulful singer, and SHOWTIME AT THE APOLLO champ, Big Brooklyn Red and Grammy award winner Nestor Torres. She has performed her one woman theater show “Letters to the Men I Love” throughout the country. Cultural Activist In between her busy touring and TV taping schedule, Deborah has found the time to work with kids in after school programs funded by Arts For Learning, personally authoring an original poetic program called After School Zen. Inspired by The Fund for Women Artists, Deborah founded the SWAN Spoken Soul Showcase, an annual three day festival that supports women artists. |
